How to get 7 in IB?

Choose your subjects wisely.

Your HLs are usually chosen to suit the requirements of your university course, so you should be careful about your SL choices. I noticed that continuing with a GCSE subject (for example, I also did Geography at GCSE) could help Because you'd already have some important knowledge to enable you to do well without wasting valuable time on it. This way, you can spend more time and energy on topics that you find important.

Just get your goals right.

Like the above, you will soon realize which topics need more focus in order to hit the grade you like. At least strive to achieve the requisite grades in the relevant subjects before striving for a 45. They were Mathematics and Chemistry in my case, and I would spend much more time revising them as opposed to English, which I felt required less work on my part to do well. Once you have an understanding of where each topic lies on a hierarchy organized by subject, time, and effort value, you can refine your study habits to achieve successful results.

Learn how much you like to spend time on the subject.

There will certainly be aspects of each subject you don't like, so you'd rather put it off. You need to find out how much you like to study for each subject so that you can do well. For example, for Geography, I liked a review of the case studies from my notes. I really enjoyed doing past papers for Maths and Physics. Writing essays for English was helpful, just like coding for Computer Science. You can not, however, only revise in one way and you must set some time to read through the textbooks or revise your notes, etc.., Yet learning how to revise it in such a way that you find it very fun (or at least bearable) ensures that you can spend time on the subject on those days when you do not feel like studying or tired without feeling really mentally drained.

Work hard and smartly

Often you may find IB stressful, and that's okay. Getting a 45 and getting 100 percent on every single subject test is not the same thing-the former is exceptionally easier. Don't bully yourself up over the percentage ratings. If you're doing really well or hitting 100%, that's fine. If you're going to get 1 point across the grade line, fine. It may not sound like a good piece of advice, but you're aiming for 7, not 100 percent. This means that you can prepare to the best of your ability, but not overstudy or overexert yourself unless you want to. When you do so, you can burn out quickly and have an effect on your health/resolution.
